Sarah Dalicandro, LSW

Sarah Dalicandro is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois. Sarah believes that meaningful change begins in a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted. Her goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and affirming environment where you can explore life’s challenges, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and build the confidence and resilience to move forward in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.

Sarah’s experience includes supporting children, adolescents, and adults in navigating anxiety, depression, school refusal, ADHD, trauma, and autism spectrum disorder, while partnering with parents to strengthen communication, increase support at home, and foster lasting growth.

Sarah is committed to providing LGBTQIA+-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed care. She also strives to create a therapeutic space that honors and respects each person’s unique cultural background, identity, values, and lived experiences. She believes that every client deserves to feel seen, understood, and valued, and she approaches her work with cultural humility and openness.

Sarah’s therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based therapy, and trauma-informed practices to help you develop practical coping strategies and gain insight into the patterns that shape your life. Whether you’re navigating a current challenge, healing from past experiences, or working toward personal growth, she will meet you where you are.

Sarah believes therapy is a partnership that builds on your strengths, deepens your self-understanding, and helps you develop the tools you need to create meaningful, lasting change – so you can move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and connection.
